Selling my '89 Convertible RX-7
I've loved cruising with the top down, but these days the gas prices are absolutely killing me. Ive gotten myself an economy car and havent been driving the RX-7 anymore.
It is an automatic ... so if you are ok with that, read on.
The car is white exterior, light/dark blue interior.
The engine is in great shape, and the previous owner rebuilt it almost exactly 12k miles ago. It now has about 112k miles on it, total.
Tires are in good shape, but not new.
I have been asking $2,500 for it, but I can drop it to $2,000 to cover aesthetic repairs. Main issue is a crack in the windshield. The seats have some sun damage, and there is a small tear in the top's fabric. Paint is peeling in ONE spot, about the size of a silver dollar.
The registration had expired, though I do have a temporary registration on it right now, it needs to be smogged soon to keep it valid. I havent done this, but I did just put on a brand new catalytic converter so I think it will pass. The temporary registration is valid through the end of this month.
The battery is dead as a doornail, but the car will jumpstart just fine, and I'm more than happy to deduct any amount from the price to cover the cost of a new battery.
I know this may seem like a bunch of problems, but its really not that bad compared to a lot of used cars. I'm just trying to be up-front about everything so that if you're interested, this can go as smoothly as possible.
I am located in southern Orange County, California. You can reach me by responding to this thread, emailing me directly at DaveMikeSnyde@hotmail.com or calling my cellphone at 949 231 2691.
Feel free to refer friends who may be looking for an RX-7.
