The "security system" is more like a theft deterant system it will flash when both doors are locked to "scare" potential theives away. No, there is no remote, just a stupid flashing light.

No mine monitors all points of entry and honks and blinks lights when set off. Only thing extra I added was a keyless entry and door locks to make it a full alarm

the alarm will go off when the hood, doors, or hactch is opened. like if you smash the window and reach in and open them. if you slim jim the door I "think" the alarm will stay on. but I think that if you pick the lock the alarm will just disable itself as a key would...

headhights come up and all lights flash, horn goes off,

to test just park your car with the window rolled down, lock the door, then reach in and unlock and open.

Do the different models have different security features, because I could have swore the only thing the security thing did was flash. But then again I have never tried to break into my car, and I am probably wrong.
