Question Secondary throttle plates don't have any effect on emmisions do they?

I want to yank mine while I got the manifold off still, but I gotta pass smog .. there is no corilation between the two right?

I'd say that as long as the smog tech doesn't jab at the throttle when your car is on the rollers then you should be fine. It seems that whole system is in place for transient response only. When both throttles are finally open there is little or no difference in what happens down-stream. Good thing the roller test is 'steady-state'!
