What year is your car?

My '90 convertible had that problem. It turned out that I needed to resolder the CPU. After that, it was fine.

I had that problem on my GX, the wiring connector for the lower seatbelt buckle switch under the carpet on the lower inside of the seat corroded through, and the wiring was shorting against the floorpan, it would come and go,not on bright but would fade on and off..Max

Its an 87' just base model, I'll have to look at the wires, if its the computer needing to be re soldered then i"ll just live with it, i dont want to screw anything up.
