seat belt stuck
yeah i have a 89 and it comes with the automatic seltbelts, which i hate soo much,
anyways,
it's stuck at the top now (not sliding anymore), drive side also, annoying,
and my friend said i can just take it to a mazda dealer and they will fix it for you for free, and only for this kind of automatic seat belt.....is that true??
my car is not runing now. waiting for radaitor, so i can't really go to dealer now,
and if it's not true, i guess i will start taking things off and do it myself..
anyone??

Take it to the dealership and they will replace it. No charge. Mine got stuck also and I took it in @ 2 years ago. I was ready to pay to get it fixed but they advised me that it was a recall item and it would be fixed at no charge. You might want to call ahead to make sure they have the part in stock.
Good luck!

on a side note...if the belt mouse won't move...on the pillar panel beside teh driver seat (behind you) there is a little removeable plastic square. take that off, and in there is a hex key winding mechanism. find a hex key that fits and just crank the nut and the mouse will wind back into position. if it sitll has a mind of its own and still motorizes half way when the car is on and the door is shut, there is also a plug you can unplug next to the nut that totally disengages the mechanism...
good luck man...i've gotta do this coming up (again!) for the T2 since i don't think the recall has been performed on it yet
