Searched,but still unsure:86 engine into 89

Is it a direct swap for a 86 13b into a 89 body? If not, what has to be done? And what about tranny?

From what I've come to understand, if you just swap in the block only, it's all good, but if you've got other things, like the intake, and all that, it gets harder.

It is not a direct swap, a S5 engine wont bolt on to a s4 chassis directly. The electric versus mecanical OMP is just an exemple.

probably so; is it stickied? i couldnt find it in the faq thread. but yeah, the 89 doesnt have a motor at all, i guess its out of the question. thx for the quick replies!
