Searched.. but no avail

I been having some weird brake problems. When I hit the brake pedal the first time, they work fine.... Well, the pedal's kinda soft.. so not fine. But if I let go of the brake and try to use them again right away, they barely grab at all. After a few seconds with the second push, it'll start to grab. Sometimes, I let go and try a third time, and it'll grab with the usual soft pedal. Any ideas?

Have you bleed the brakes to get any air out of the system? Also have you looked around all the fittings to make sure you don’t have any leaks? This is the first place I would start looking.

I bled the whole system yesterday. And replaced the master cylinder. I think the MC could be a little iffy. I got it from another FC in a junkyard. It had a leaky caliper, but that was replaced with a rebuilt unit.

I would try bleeding again first. Make sure you start at the wheel farthest from the mc and work your way to the closest. If that dosn't work, then get you another master cylinder. Sounds more like an MC though....
