Ive noticed that when as I start the car, I can hear a minor 'scratching' sound as it turns over. Almost similar to the sound you'd hear if you engaged the starter when the car already on. It makes me wince to hear it (even though its barely audible) because in my head im imagining my rotors scraping along the housing. (even though they're not)

Any ideas? I figure it's prolly the starter maybe grinding a little?

 

Sounds like maybe the starter is getting old.

Off topic - what type of heads up display is that in yout mods list?

 

is the defi model whatever.... displays either mph or tach digitally much like the ones that came stock with some S13s

it's a little rice looking but it helps a ton - i can scan for police without looking down at my speed. i'd like to make some kinda molding for it so it looked like it was supposed to come with the car one of these days

 

your starting is starting to show its age :\ mine was doing that awhile back i picked up one from a guy on the forum and its worked well since.

ot- nice heads up display how much did that set you back?

 

i think it was like 150-175.. i did a favor for a local shop owner and he gave it to me for cost
