earlier today i pulled into a grociery store and shut my car off.. went in and got a movie and came back out.. tried to start it and wouldnt.. so i pushed in my antiflood switch (shutting off the injectors) and cranked.. wouldnt start so i let go of the key and the switch.. and it kept cranking (by itself, and wouldnt stop), and i got freaked out. then i pushed in the gas and it started.. and i heard some buzzer noises.. not a steady one.. it was seperate beep/buzzer type things. but anyway, thats my weird story for the day, car ran fine after that.. but it freaked me out and i have not a clue what happened.

 

Thats weird!! Have you tried doing that again to see if the same thing would happen?
Maybe it was just some weird fluke....or the rotary god's punishing you

 

Seems like your starter is on its way out and is starting to stick.

 

i know one time my car wouldn't start - went back the next day and it started fine. i had a suspicion that the alarm had disengaged the engine, as there wasn't any noise at all and i haven't had a problem since.

that said, i know the car has some beeps/buzzing noises that signal when something's going wrong. i think they're detailed in the haynes manual, if not in the user's manual.
