on a scale of 1-10, how dificult is a 5spd swap

Well.. I already did one, but for reference, how dificult is it? heh.. I spanned mine over 6 months, and the hardest part was sourcing parts. The actual mechanics of it wasn't hard when I had a friend to help out.

With one being the average oil change/sparkplug change, and 10 being a full engine remove, teardown, rebuild, reassembly and reinstall, I'd put the 5 speed conversion right about a 5 or 6. Only one part needs to be fabricated, everything else is bolt on. Removing the steering column and pedals is the real bitch of the work, as well as the rearend swap if applicable. Then you have to run a wire or 2. IT's not that bad really. I tell people if they can do a clutch job with no issues, they can do this as well. IF they're unsure they could do a clutch job, they shouldn't try.
