For Sale

YES! This nice white clean rexy piece of machine is now for sale. I'm going to sell it so I can get a down payment for a truck. I know...I will definately miss driving around in my FC. Some day I will come back to a turbo FC when I can. But, for now I need something more family orientated. So, with the car's conditions - what would be a good price to sell it for. It has the following mods... well - they're listed in my sig. It just has a few problems here and there that we're all familiar with that need to be fixed. So, I'll get to these little problems as soon as I can. There's one thing I wanted to know though. What would be a good price to sell my car for? The tires have about 75% tread on them. What do you guys think? I was thinking of posting it for $3,000 obo and maybe get about $2,500 for it. The car has 226k miles on it :p - and the engine is rebuilt with 25k on it.

What's up Albert? Family oriented; you have kids now or something? Or did you already?

Hey I thought youwere using the stock T2 exhaust. Anyways, posting it for $3000 obo is a good idea. I'd expect 1500-2000 for it though. Looking at the recycler ads, you have a lot of competition. There's about thirty 86-87 FC n/a's listed so you're gonna have to do a good job presenting your car. I'm sure the wheels will help the value of the car. It's gonna take a long time to sell it if you want $2500 or more but good luck!

It's an N/A

And a truck would be family orientated because the one in my case will be a 4 door super cab with an extended bed...and a supercharger of course :p

Mike: I've been with my gf for a while now, and she has a kid. We're getting married.

Could that be a Nissan Frontier?
That's a good replacement for the FC, if there is such a thing as a replacement.

Wow! Well, hey congrats. Nice to hear you're doing well. Is that 4 door super cab you're planning to get a Silver Nissan Frontier like you were laking about before?

hey guy!..what's up. Its too bad that you have to sell your love for a truck. Congrats though!.. anyways, why do you have to sell the 7?..you can just keep it aside and use it as a weekend car or something (spare).

Too bad the rx-8 isnt' out yet - I'd recommend that as a family oriented replacement.

well the thing is that I'm an mountainous offroad kinda guy as well.. so a 4x4 supercharged frontier with some upgrades here and there would do me well

Sebring7,

I appreciate your position-- Maybe look at the F-150 SuperCrew-- STOP LAUGHING!

I sold my 2000 F150XLT 4x4 and got a 2001 XLT Supercrew. Added a borla exhaust, K&N, and a Superchip. Yes, it's a 5600lb beast, but it has lots of interior room (5.5' bed). I get about 15mpg in my driving with the 5.4-- Nissan will get you more I'm sure.

But my point-- For about $3300 you can get either a Kenne Bell or Vortech supercharger kit and add about 100hp. 400hp is only about $4500 away from the stock truck. Not as quick as a Lightning (unless you get the Lightning Screw that's coming) but you can haul 5 people comfortably, carry 1700lbs (Lightning is 500lb I think) and tow 7000 (well, if you're not carrying 1700lbs.....)

Ya I like the frontier too. I was thinking of trading my 95 camaro as a down payment for one. I change my mind everyday though. Once I get set on one car I will go for it. That new Nissan Altima with the 3.5L is interesting too
