Take out the ashtray and mount it in there, it fits perfectly.

i am going to mount mine under the right turn signal on a hinge so it can flip backwards and be out of sight .
So the car looks stock when you look through the window and does not invite thieves...

note i am going to get the black version to match the interior

and i can still see it through my MoMo steering wheel

****i am going to mount mine under the right turn signal ******

There's something that does not click with those words above. Those series five must be really funny. One flipper on the right side of the steering wheel for turning right, and one on the left for turning left.

Definately in the ash tray. I think the SAFC is made to fit in that spot. I have also seen people put it in their glove box so its not out in the open.

I dont have them on paper and I really dont feel like taking it apart again.

Basicly I just removed the stock radiosupport and measured along as I went on.
Its pretty easy, get some polycarbonate/Lexan, mark the outlines and start cutting. Primed witrh pactra R/C(polycarbonate) paint and painted with cheapo flatblack

The SAFC isnt taped or anything its a snug fit(by accident) so I never worried about using the dual adhesive tape that came with it.

If I were to do it again, I would have bolted the backingplate on from behind so no screwheads are visible.

Is there really any benifit to having out in open other than rice? Once you get your car tuned DONT MESS WITH IT because it has the power to blow up your engine.

Nope.

As you can see on 1SxyRXy´s pictures, our radio surrounds arent the same. All european models came with a small pocket underneath the radio. So making a surround for U.S. versions arent really that smart

Just do it yourself, its pretty straight forward
