FL s6 flywheel onto s4 or s5?

Has anyone ever tried putting an s6[3rd gen]flywheel and counter-weight into a s4 or s5 turbo? What rotors will work, model to use if possible, and if there will be vibration?Being that my flywheel weighs 28lbs,it will be nice to use an s6 without going to a aluminum or steel lighten flywheel, not to mention i've got an s6 flywheel. Thanks!

if you put a FD flywheel on a S4 you need to do one of 2 things,if you want to keep the S4 rotors you need to get the whole assembly balance if not just swap the S6 rotors and counterweights in to the S4 block, now if it is a S5 you can just swap the flywheel cause S5 and S6 share the same internal balance,in other words mixing S5 with S6 its fine but not with S4 without rebalancing

Can i use s5 high compression rotors for this,s4 block,s5 high compression rotors, plus it will be turbo?Or is it that these rotors are of too high compression to be turbo.{s5 that is}.Thanks.

not many people have made a hi-comp turbo setup work that lasted more than a few months, and only very few have made them last for much longer.

stick with the stock turbo rotors and get the assembly balanced with that flywheel.

It will work on an S5 turbo without reconfiguration. An S4 turbo will need to have the S5 or S6 rotors and counterweights swapped into it .

The reason for this,is that a few years ago i'ved ran as s5 6-port turbo with 12lbs of boost with s4 flywheel and counterweight and had no issues. Now that i was able to rebuild my s4 13bt low compression i wanted to put s6 flywheel with counterweight.if not why not s5 high-compression with the s6 fly-wheel?please note with the 6-port high compression turbo set-up there was no vibration or reliability problems.Thanks.

weird,i ran s4 rotors and front counterwight with a lightweight flywheel using a S5 rear counterweight and the bearings were shot in around 3 months, the car was daily driven for the 3 months with a small vibration around 4K and up,I founded out that i have the wrong CW after taking the engine apart because i went thru my receipts and pakages and i discovered that ACT sent me the wrong CW(different part number between series),again bearings the rear bearing was shot and the rest was badly worn out

I guess i'll be looking for s5 turbo rotors to work with my s6 flywheel and counter-weight.My turbo 6-port motor is sitting in my garage and it still runs and has alot of torque with a 28lb flywheel.
AANYONE has a set of s5 turbo rotors for sale?
THANKS.

i will get the s4 rotors machined and balanced with the s6 flywheel because i love the torque and the little lag that s4 na rotors bring to the motor
