TX S5 Vert - routing a rearview camera cable

I searched and couldnt find any words of wisdom. Closest was the this tutorial on relocating the battery in a coupe.

The car has a Pioneer AVIC-D audio/navigation system. We have a rearview camera we're going to hook up to it and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for routing the cable from the license plate thru the trunk, under the top into the cabin and along the tranny tunnel to the radio. The path from the trunk to the cabin seems the most challenging at first glance.

Shared wisdom and experience appreciated.

Jim

Not sure why this is a challenge. There are dozens of ways to run cables from the trunk to the cabin. Remove the spare wheel cover and the plastic lining from inside the trunk, and it should all become very obvious.

Thx

Actually, we haven't started the project yet. It all looks pretty straightforward but that's how Mazda lulls you in and then consumes your whole weekend in a frustrating festival of blood and expletives!

I was just wanting to see if there were any booby traps out there before we started. Thanks for the green flag!

I have an 89 vert with and Eclipse AVN unit. I did exactly what the above poster said. It only took about an hour for the entire job.
