S5 Turbo Removal
Is the series 5 ('91) turbo hard to remove from the engine when everything is still mounted in the car?
Does anyone know where a procedure or how-to is located on how to remove the turbo? (Would be good if pictures or diagrams are included)
I have tried the Factory Service Manual, but that is not particularly helpful in this situation.
Any advice would also be of use

It's not particularly easy by any means, you have to remove the oil lines, and the coolant line (which is gonna dump coolant everywhere until you plug it, unless you drain the car first....) I tend to take off all the plastics/connecting pipe between the IC and turbo, then I remove the oil lines, then I finally pull the coolant line and plug it up, then I go about removing the manifold bolts (this is if you've got all the plates out of the way, mind you) Then it's good luck time on trying to remove the exhaust bolts, and then wiggling it out as it's pretty damn heavy, and a bit too big. Nothing *all* too impossible, but nothing very easy either!

If you can't understand the Mazda service manual is normal they design for Mazda tech or someone that has some degree of skill, you can try the Haynes repair manual that one is not that hard to understand
