S5 turbo block carb setup. Pointers please.

So I'm finally getting the engine built for my Repu, and I've decided to go with a S5 turbo block that is being bridgeported, large exhaust port. I will be doing a carb setup on it. The use of the vehicle is going to be race, and weekend fun only for four months out of the year (Alaska). I've been doing a lot of research the past month and seem to be running into a lot of "No, this is better!" "No! This is the best!". I'm wondering could those of you that are very well familiar with a super simple, clean, good running builds, share some of the places you got some good knowledge from, or some good build links to read up on. I'd just like some help with the correct way things should go, and then I can adjust for my personal likings. Thank you.

Hey there i have just done the same thing and i have discovered a few tricks.
1 you can block the injector holes if you thread it with 18 mm then you can port the runners to be very smooth. the 2 small holes on top of the runners can be threaded 4 mm all the way into the 18 mm bolt and hold it in place.
2 if you use a old style 4 port manifold you just have to tig weld some "ears" on the 4 corners of the manifold then it bolts right up.
3 the front cover from old style 4 port 13b will bolt right up and let you use the old distributer if you like.

im going on the dyno in a week i will post some result for you. but i used a large street port and 9,4 comp rotors

best regards Rasmus Andersen (Denmark)

What year and engine is the old four port off of, and same for the distributor? And what are the benefits of using that setup? Just simplicity?

I've seen people use the distributor for two plugs, and then using one of the coils for direct spark I believe that's on the wasted spark. Any benefit of doing this?

The benefits om ny case is that its just so simpel .the old School 4 port is the pre 84 13b engines. Its simple to me because i used the same parts on the previous engine. I also run dlidfis ignition. If you do a search on dlidfis on the forum you will find everything you need to know.
One more Benefit i think is that i dont believe i have seen bolt on carb setups for the s5 engine
