What causes this? This turbo came off a jdm motor. Sat for a while. Journal bearings shot. Cant find a turbine shaft anywhere.

Buy another turbo for $100, and then use it or steal the shaft. That one looks like it ran without oil. Metal on metal action.

Not sure what Belzona is, but I watched a shop repair a crankshaft of a huge 2-stroke diesel by electroplating it then subsequently machining it back to spec. Not really something I'd think the average Joe can accomplish in his garage though.

hammer and chisel, will be good to go.

cause? lack of lubrication or foreign debris. make sure the feed line is unobstructed.

seen worse, i have 2 shafts broken right at the step to the compressor wheel.

that happened to my friend with an FD, the whole turbine and shaft will actually fit in a 3" pipe.

so you can read that like it got torn down and the compressor was just sitting there with the nut and little piece of shaft, and the turbine and the rest of the shaft was missing!
