S5 trans mount "Y"

is the transmission mount on a nonturbo transmission the same as a turbo? i have a jspec trans waiting to swap into my 88T2, it is missing the trans mount. I have obtained an S5 turbo crossmember, but not the Y part of the trans mount. I found a guy that has a nonturbo "Y mount" but he isn't sure if the turbo and nonturbo are the same.

Im pretty sure the turbo and non turbo mounts are different. and the s4 and s5 turbo trannys have slightly different mounts as well.

They should be the same.. there is infact a difference between the Automatic and Manual tranny mounts though.. if the car was auto, then you'll have to rig up a custom mount. but I'm pretty sure TII S4/S5 manual tranny's are identical.

If your car is auto, you WILL have to do custom crossmember.

if not, if your going to put an s5 tranny in, you need to use s5 cross member with that tranny, if your using s4, use s4 crossmember. afaik, the cross members are not exchangable between the two. I put an s5 tranny in my s4 car. Noticed that the way they mount to the crossmember is different.

Hope that helped.

ok, so i dunno if i was just confusing in my post, or no one really understood what i was asking. I'll try to clarify and maybe i can get an answer.

I have an 88T2, it has an S4 turbo trans in it (with a bad 5th gear)

I have an S5 turbo trans to go into the car.

I have the S5 turbo crossmember

i do NOT have the S5 turbo trans mount that bolts to the trans.

Is the mount that bolts to the trans on an S5 nonturbo the same as the turbo? I am talking about the Y part that the rubber blocks bolt to above the crossmember.

need to know definately one way or another, not like what anyone thinks or heard, sorry but this issue is really holding me up right now.
