S5 TII prices?

Heya!

I was wondering what everyone here thinks is a good price to pay for a S5 TII. Say one with:

1. Orginal, 100K or so...
2. " Recently rebuilt, with 100k or so..
3. " Blown with 100k or so...

Or the same but modded instead of orginal..

Is it better to find one modded or orginal?

I bought mine with 98K miles on chassis, 20k on rebuild.

$5500 pretty much stock everything else, and in great condition

Unless the mods are really outrageous, yes. Remember, you'll need to puts at least another $2k or so to get it running, and thats assuming only the engine is blown. If you can't test drive the car, who knows whats really wrong with it.
If you're really set on an S5 TII, just wait until you see one in good shape come up for sale. I bought the first one I found, and I've spent the last year getting it to run right.

Running S5 TIIs are pricey. Not too many changed hands this year.

I just spent $3000 on a 91 TII with 10k on a Mazda reman, basically stock. Paint is a little faded, but otherwise its in good shape. Has a few problems here and there (alarm doesn't work, etc.). I'm waiting for it to be delivered, can't wait for it to get here. TIIs are hard to find, but if you look hard enough you can find a good deal. Good luck with your search.

I paid $8000Canadian for mine, with a 20,000km japan shrinkwrapped brand new motor... all stock, all original, first owner, 120,000km (about 75,000 miles), just MINT MINT MINT. Except for the idle popping sounds

So I take it is best to try and find a running TII, to make sure there are no ther problems. But the payoff is the price.... Damn
