S5 TII ignition problem

What would cause S5 TII fire trailings only short time during startup?

Coils are ok, its on signal. First 3 seconds of cranking its firing trailings correctly, then it will run only on leadings.

Any idea?

Thanks

Just to be sure, I take it you pulled one of the traing plugs wires off and ran it to ground while car was running and it didn't spark? Or is it jumping spark to ground, but the plugs aren't firing?

If i say its not problem with COIL i mean it.

We get signal to COIL pack for first 3 seconds, then none. If u hook up coilpack, it will show same thing with spark plug. We confirmed signal doing same thing even with unhooked trailing coils. It has nothing to do with spark plugs, spark plug wires not even with trailing coilpack. Tried replace ECU and have not changed.

ok, just checking with FSM

it looks like testing it without coil does not really help since Code 01 = malfunction of trailing coil leads to failsafe mode which does exactly this - cutting trailing signal
