S5 TII engine and "JDM" or "JSPEC"

ive seen two different engines people claim to be S5. but they dont have a plastic thermostat neck. and the fan is offset from the clutch. is it possible that JDM s5 engines look more like a S4 for those reasons?

Nope, they look identical. The only change is that japanese stuff has earlier build dates than what we have here..for instance, our series 4 is generally considered early 86 to mid 88, whereas theirs is early 85 to late 87 (or thereabouts).

Also, if the manifold are JDM, the LIM has no EGR..

^ I dont believe an s5's have EGR. Also s5's should have an electric OMP.
