S5 TII dead miss at high RPM

I have a S5 TII in a S4 TII chassis.

I've been tinkering around trying to work out a few bugs and I'm getting really close to having it finished. I cleaned my grounds and ran a couple new ones and that really seemed to help some hesitation/miss problems. I also replaced the filter on the Walbro fuel pump, but I still need to replace the fuel filter.

Anyway...
I can run 1st and 2nd, (every once in a while even 3rd) gear all the way out with no miss or hesitation whatsoever. 4th get up around 4800-5500 RPM and I get a really bad cut out. It like someone turns the key off and on real quick then it will accelerate as normal for a few hundred more RPM and do it again. As I'm writing this I wonder if it is fuel cut? I need to go read about that. There is a FCD sitting in the armrest storage compartment, but I was told this Rx7 is running stock boost. It does have a cone filter intake and open exhaust. Oh yeah...yesterday it sounded like it detonated in 3rd gear under heavy boost. It sounded like a little piece of popcorn over on the driver side engine compartment, ( I immediately got out of the throttle.)

Any ideas, just let me know and I'll check back later on.

Thanks guys,
~Jason

Unplug the boost sensor via the electrical plug and go drive the car...
Does it still do this?

If it doesn't, you were running into the overboost fuel cut.

I unplugged the boost sensor and the "miss" went away, so I installed the FCD. With the sensor unplugged there does seem to be a hesitation, but we'll see how it does with the fcd installed.

Thanks!
