S5 TII.....4 Grand!!!
I just came across this awhile ago looking for a new 7 (I tasted boost and im addicted!) Anyway it says it needs a new motor and turbo. So where did they get this price from. I know S5's are getting harder to find but c'mon!
So when I make a call to these people I'm just wondering how chep I could try to get this for?

c'mon man who would pay 4000 for a 13 year old car with no motor? It looks to be in good condition but talk them down at least half of what they are asking. Unless $4k is the price with a NEW or rebuilt engine.
paid $1500 for mine 91 TII with blown motor ;o)

Im sorry, if you guys are buying 15 year old cars with blown engines for 4k and 8k for ones that are running then your being suckered by salesman or your looking in the wrong spot. Im sure you can find a very decent TII with pretty low miles that runs like a champ for 3-4k.
Lets see: heres one;

I just bought an 88TII in cherry condition for $2500, engine cherry, body cherry, interior cherry, you can find them, sometimes it's ok to settle for the S4, the money you save can ultimately be put back into power mods and you can easily have a faster car for less.
Like GTIguy said, keep looking.

I'm looking for one right now, and there are lots around for under that price. Just keep looking and don't be afarid to drive out to get it. And don't deal with dealers, unless the price is good and/or you really need to finacnce it (which for an FC is silly).

I learned my lesson, I flew to MN, spent $1k on the flight and was told that the car had no rust and immaculate.. never driven in the rain let alone snow.
Guess what, it was raining when I got there.. oh whats that orangy brown stuff.. oh its rust.
Sure, depending on where you live, you can get a good deal, but here, even s4/zenki's can get 6k with high miles and stock.

Ahhh never mind just got a e-mail, this is funny :
"i just called you today to give you some more info on
the turbo II, but got a weird message.
you can either call me at work 6am to 2pm (pst) at
800-852-7771 x9011, or at home (323-969-8110).
the only thing is, i am ready to sell the car to an
associate for 3250.00 at some point this weekend.
the car is located at 2101 colorado blvd (corner of
maywood and colorado, just past where colorado meets
eagle rock blvd) in eaglerock/glendale.
if you are interested, please see ron (the shop
mechanic who runs california z), and he will let you
see the car.
if you pay him 3500.00, he will sell the car to you.
if not, i think i will sell the car to my associate.
thanks for your interest in my seven. it treated me
well, and i hope it finds a great new owner.

Who wants it?, Because I sure as hell dont for that price!
