arrite guys so heres the story.. i crashed my s5 and everythings straight n i really just want another car to drive so i bought a s4 shell to replace my s5.. i plan on just going turbo later but for now i just want an rx7 to drive.

so my plan is to just take the engine from the s5 n/a engine n put it in the s4.... is that possible i know im gonna have some wiring to do i was thinking of just replace EVERYTHING wiring n all.. is that possible ?? what will i have to replace ? what do you guys think i should do ? and will i have to replace any fuel lines or something important like that or anything ? if you guys got any sites or suggestions or anything that'll help me out thanks.

 

swapping between series is a pain in the ***. what you can do is swap the s5 into the s4 chasis using the s4 electronics such as ecu and harness. but your gonna have to run premix. also the injectors wont match up soo youll have to get those too. theres more to it but this is just the concept.

 

What's damaged on the S5 car? If it's body work, you can harvest the fenders, bumpers, etc... off of the S4 and have them painted to match. Just be aware that the trim design differs between series, so it won't be entirely the same.

OR

You can remove all of the S4 harnesses in the shell and replace them with all of your S5 harnesses. Swap in the S5 engine and all of its electronics, as well as any interior electronics. This will basically be a complete S5 swap, and it will take you a long time to finish. The FSM will give you wiring information.
