clip the two wires for the sensor togethere and toss the sensor.

The radiator will work fine just gotta re-route some of the overflow lines

Its a temp sensor to kick on the ac fan if the radiator gets to hot... but don't quote me on that.. but I'm about 95% sure.

ok the sensor on top of the radiator is the low coolant sensor right? and the temp sensor is like back by the oil pressure sending unit right? so what the heck is that sensor on the bottom of the s4?

yea the one on top of the rad is low coolant sensor. the temp sender for the gauge is by the oil pressure thing, the a/c condensor e-fan he's talking about is usually a heat activated, or a/c activated, e-fan on the condensor that has the plug on the alum water neck, ive only had 1 FC with that e-fan, and it was automatic, even my GXL didnt have it.

The auxilary(a/c) fan is kicked on by a sensor that resides on the thermostat housing on S4's the lower radiator sensor is a "thermo" sensor IIRC which only really does anything when its really cold. My brain is woozy on it but its worthless.

one more question, is there a gasket that goes between the neck and the radiator? cuz it looks like there is a realy realy hard rubber ring on there but it doesnt come off so it could just be plastic. i have a thermostat gasket that could probly fit in there and hold 15 pounds of pressure with some rtv. what do you think?

There's a rubber o-ring that goes there. I have also used a bit of RTV to make sure it doesn't leak.
