Hey guys, I was wondering if you are running premix with the S-AFC?
Since the safc manipulates the airflow signal to trick the ecu into adding and subtracting fuel, won't it do the same to the OMP?
If indeed it does, then by leaning out the mixture to extract power, we are also reducing the amount of oil that are getting injected into the engine, which might lead to pre-mature engine failure.
I am running pre-mix now as a pre-caution, how do you guys see it?
Thanks

I thought that the OMP got it's signal from the ECU depending on what the TPS reads? If that is true (thought I heard/read that somewhere) then the AFC wouldn't affect the OMP's function. Pre-mix doesn't hurt though. Just don't run as much with an OMP installed.

Haven't we ALL heard this
Well hot damn that is an intresting thought there.
There is a chart in my '91 FSM that has the interrelations of each part. I will have to see if that is listed on there. Won't be until 10pm tonight though.

I don't think it'd matter too much, it's still getting fuel and oil, enough to lubricate it in my opinion, unless in order to properly lubricate it, it requires a REALLY rich mixture.. I'm not sure
