s5 non turbo power up

dont u hate it when ur mtes want u to post stuff up for them

mate of mine gonna stick a s5 no turbo engine hes got into a rx3 and he wants to know how he can extract some POWER out of it

can some people tell me likw exactly wot exhaust and stuff to put on how much can u milk out of the factory computer and how much to do a little porting on the engine

also throttle bodies and manifolds wots the best one to put on for the most power and what size it should be etc

just post up a bunch of mods to extract as muc power as possible without spending $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ losta cash (2k not including echaust and like pod filter stuff jsut manifolds and stuff)

he wants more than 160kw at fly without wiring up 5th 6th ports (ie keeing original 6 port concepts ) and without replacing the computer jsut remapping and the usual

header 3" exhuat no cats, bridge port, port the manifolds, TB mod,
no P/S A/C , bigger injectors, fuel pump, K&N,
oh the exhuast will need to wire the 5 and 6 ports
and stickers add 10 HP

no he wants to keep the way the sth 6th ports open ie only after certin rmp

by port the manifoldu mean inlet manifolds
wots a TB mod


also wot sorta chip upgrade is there

like 160kw at fly will be more than enough to beat 15.5 sec 5l v8's

anyways

Go with the full RB exhaust
Ported intake manifolds
A new intake
Lightened flywheel
If you want to crack open the engine then go with a bridge port unless he wants it streetable then go with a heavy street port.
Oh and you can have the ports open with a certain rpm, theres a write up on how to do it around here somewhere. Just search for "wiring open 5th 6th ports how to" and that should get you goin.

i will be cracking open the engine for him but just to slam new seals in

this is wot hes told me hes planing to do

s5 6 port
custom plendlum/ inlet (llooks mad)
port manifold
lightened steel slywheel
s5 turbo gboc with 4 puck clutch and 4.2:1diff
(some sort of computer upgrade) we cna buy fitted and tuned haltecs for 1k here (would that be ok)
gilmer drives


thats wot hes got listed so far
and its all going into a rx2 (cleaned up engine bay as well)


btw he wants to know how many km are u guys getting per 50l and wot sort of performance would he be looking atwith those mods

No no no, you have it all wrong. Screw the fuel injection, go carb!! No computer and wiring to muck up the engine bay and waste your time with, just slap a carb on it and go. I believe a carbed rotary is a more powerful rotary. And bridge it while your at it!

Where did he get a 50mm tb?
I think he is dumb for EFI on an RX-3, I am sorry.
