hey guys just wondering if this setup works
if anyone out there has tried this, because from what i understand the
stock s4 na tranny is the worst one out there (as far as power handling capability goes ) and i would love to upgrade to a better tranny oh and 5speed manual of course

any input appreciated

 

straight swap. make sure it has the s5 crossmember attached, because they are different.

 

I don't think I've heard that S4 vs S5 transmissions are any different power/durability -wise..

But if you have a bad S4, an S5 will bolt up directly as long as you have the proper crossmember/Y-bracket for the S5 transmission.

 

5th gear is a little longer. Good for freeway mpg!
