S5 NA Rebuild Help (can't find sensor)

First off, I have an 89 Non-Turbo M/T with a stock rebuild. No mods except exhaust at this point.

I've been searching around all day and found lots of good information, but still can't find anything on this, so I have to ask.

The sensor in the attached images is the only one I can find that's not plugged into anything. It's part of the harness and runs underneath the VDI and UIM, with the injector plugs, but I can't find anything in range (as far as it can stretch) that fits or isn't already plugged in.

It is a single wire, Green with a Black Stripe. I looked through the Haynes Manual, FSM and Wiring guide in the FAQ the best I could, but had no luck. So, if anyone knows what that's supposed to go to, I'd really appreciate the help!

Also, if this helps, here are the other symptoms I'm having...

The lights come on, and the enging will turn, but no fire. I haven't checked spark yet because I don't think I'm getting fuel. I'm going to troubleshoot that this week. The car has been sitting for almost 2 years since it ran last, so I realize the pump could be bad, but I'm hoping something's not hooked up right.

ALL of my warning lights come on, which I read is the alternator. Also, my oil pressure gauge jumps all of the way to the top when I turn the key. The fuel gauge doesn't appear to move, even after I put more gas in it.

Also, when I turn the key, there is a humming that comes from the engine bay. Best I can tell, it's something beneath the UIM/VDI, but I can't tell what it is. I pulled one of the lines coming from the primary fuel rail, and there was no gas...

One more thing. When I towed the car once, some wires must have dragged underneath and came undone. They are both Green, no stripes, and run from the harness past the starter to a connection on top of the transmission. I don't know if it matters which order they go in, but neither way affects what's happening.

Oh, and I haven't tried push/pull starting it yet. It's up on jackstands in the garage, and isn't really an option yet.

Thanks guys. Please don't flame me, I have been reading threads about 1/2 of today and yesterday trying to find solutions, but haven't yet.

According to page Z-125 of the wiring manual, the G/B wire that comes out of the emissions harness next to the front injectors is the "Water Temp Switch".

NA manuals do not have a sensor for that to plug into. just leave it hanging. the turbos and na auto's had a gray sensor under the green one.
