S5 N/A to S5 T2 - electronics question?

I'm converting a S5 N/A to a S5 T2, I have the ECU, boost sensor and I'm looking for a AFM (pm me if you have one).

Now can I just plug the ECU into the N/A wiring harness and plug the boost sensor and AFM in and not worry about the knock box or the sensor?

The problem I have is I cannot get ahold of a S5 T2 wiring harness.

OR

How hard is it to wire up the knock box and sensor?

Thanks for the help

Joe

I sent you a pm.

You can do what you said, but you'll want to disconnect the wire for the knock sensor at the ECU, and I think that was all I changed when I did this exact thing.

So I can run the N/A wiring harness and not worry about the knock sensor at all?

Cool

you can hook the knock sensor into the VDI solenoid wire. I read someone was useing the N/A AFM and ECU ,temporarily. I just did the swap ,the wireing is strait forward.
good luck , it is worth the work.

I'm attaching jpgs of the differences in the two ECU's, Turbo and Non-Turbo. You can see the differences and make adjustments for the differences. It comes out of the series five, on line, free, FSM. Fuel section, Control System.

And the one that didn't get on the above reply:

Pins 1t and 1U are curious to say the least. Look at the opposite outputs for the turbo vs the non-turbo.

Pin 2M.....It seems you'd find the wire at the VDI and splice it to the Knock Sensor's wire.

Pin 3R.....It seems you could now make the 6PI solenoid plug into the Duty Solenoid plug. I've no idea if they would reach or not. Never seen a series five turbo or non-turbo. Did do a series four swap though. Different pins etc on that one.
