Question S5 Koyo rad. guys...

I've been reading conflicting threads about whether this rad. is a direct drop in or not. I have an S5 and would like to keep the stock fan shroud and belt driven fan. I've read that there's an adapter kit to fit the fan shroud on the radiator, because the radiator is slightly thicker than stock. I've also read that no adapter kit is necessary, and that it's only required for S4 installs. Somebody who has installed one in their S5 clue me in here?

Just get it! I'm telling you either it will bolt up just fine, or take very minor fabrication like mine did (S4) you won't regret it. By minor I mean drilling new holes in the plastic of the outter edges on the shroud.

I have one, all I had to do was use the brackets from the stock rad and I made the holes on the bracket a little bigger. It's pretty much a drop in.

I know it's a drop in, I'm just concerned about my stock fan shroud fitting not being chewed to pieces by the fan(or vice versa). I know they make an adapter for the s4, and I thought I read somewhere they make an adapter for the s5, so that this doesn't happen. What I'm trying to confirm is whether I need that adapter or not.

Just be a man!! Take the risk! Even if it doesnt bolt up perfectly, its only minor fabrication to get it to fit. Christ! Ive heard less whining from Miata owners!

there's an adapter for the s5 as well... it says so on the www.absoluteradiator.com website... they include it with the radiator. from what i've heard it requires a little work w/ the fan shroud & the fan. personally, i picked up an s5 koyo, putting on a black magic e-fan as well too.
