S5 intake manifold on s4?'s
Hey I have a 87 S4 and I have read a couple people's posts about them switching over to the S5 intake manifolds for better flow and power. What are the advantages of this and also can you now use intakes without having to fab one up yourself. Is the AFM and such moved on the S5 manifold and if I do the switch is it basically just bolt it up and go or are there other things that must be changed? Thanks for your help.

this topic has been covered many times.
it is not a complicated install, but it will take a decent amount of time and you should be familiar with the intake and vacuum routing before starting.
here is a write-up, that is more or less correct:

There are also two very informative threads on www.teamfc3s.org/forum another member and myself did the swap at the same time, and we were constantly shooting questions back and forth, and working out each other's problems.
The other member was Viperdude152, I think he's on this forum too.

leave the S4 LIM on
it is better anyways
just use the gasket and gasket match both manny
grind out the bolt holes so they will fit
at the read of the block, the end housing, grind that down so it wont touch one of the runners
the OMP would work too. pull the red longer, bend the top so it fits, and then yank the middle out, easiest way for it to work
