S5 GTU TII Swap?

I'm asking because I see one for sale in my area, I just can't seem to see if it is a good or bad idea going with a car that was originally N/A.

Car seems fucked up. I think you can do better.

Buying a car that was originally NA doesn't matter if everything was done correctly.

If it runs smoothly and primer'd good, then yea its worth it, but if doesnt run then id say 2k max. Assuming that the engine will be running good and you have money to give it a paint job then im gonna choose, yes buy it.

never really had to paint a car but for a good one I assume ~$500 - $1000 right?

That car is not worth that!!!!! I would not pay more than 1200 running and 800 not running.
Paint job depending if you stay red or change colors but

ok to good paint job 800-1200
Real paint to look factory by good company 2000 - 3500

With the car being an S5 the turbo swap is a simple conversion
unlike the S4 cars.

So try to get him to go lower? I'd prefer an S4 TII roller that I could put an S5 engine in to, however I can't seem to find anyone with one.

Why? If your gonna get an S4 then stay S4 motor.
S5 is the more desired car and looks 100 times better.

talk to him, he's on the forum but expect to have to work some things. If he was using his brakes enough to warp them then how do you think the engine is. Find out what it needs and then figure out a price that will make you both happy.

if it runs then 2K would be close to too much.

I dunno if this will help but i got my car -- S5 GXL w/ 92k miles on it running stock besides exhaust nothing wrong for $3800. If my car is worth that much then this car is definitely not worth $2500. I got a picture of my car in my profile if you to compare this car and mine. Also you'll probably spend $2500+ to clean this car up.
