S5 GTU Radio issue

Can anyone assist in helping me fix this radio? I just purchased the car yesterday. The radio will power on BUT THERE IS NO SOUND, I can also see the equalizer functioning. I have not dove in yet, just seeing if anyone has had the same issue ?

Thanks,
M

Radio has power, no sound.

Relisys,

Get yourself a digital copy of the FSM. Check out Section T, Pg T-108 and follow the troubleshooting matrix for "No Sound [Type 1 (coupe), 2, 3].

It could be a blown fuse, loose connector, bad EQ, or bad radio. Please let us know what fixed your problem.

BTW, the radio in your car is known as the Type 3 (Radio, Cassette Deck + Graphic Equalizer).
Cheers,
George

I sent the radio to "factoryradioservice.com" and they completely refurbished the unit for me, also added an AUX input to play from my phone. Very nice and fast service from them. Highly recommend.
