I sprung a leak in my S4 fuel tank and wanted to swap in a S5 fuel tank that I have from a low mileage parts car.

Is there any reason why this won't work other than needing to modify the harness at the fuel pump to wire it up?

Yeah it should should work fine, but you will need the sender and straps from the S5 tank.
