s5 fuel injectors in s4 engine

I'm still trying to diagnose my idle problems, and my engine setup is an s5 except for the block itslef.

With that in mind, is the fact that I am using s5 air bleeds, fuel injectors, and the s5 fuel rail creating any problems? Do I need to use s4 air bleeds and fuel injectors?

no, the s5 stuff should be ok, there is no difference in the blocks only in the rotors. What type of idle problem is it?

lastly, do a search for a idle problems, you will find lots of posts on the subject

as long as you have the S5 ecu you should be fine. the only difference from the s4 and s4 is the ohms and injector clip. so with the s5 ecu. and asuming you have no resistor pack that the s4 use. you should be fine.

Should work fine as long as you're using the s5 injector plugs.

If you're getting rid of your old plugs, i might buy em depending on what shape they're in

Keep in mind that the injectors you're installing are (to my recollection) high impedance.

I never had any s4 stuff to begin with, I just couldnt find an s5 block, so I used an s4 block and put all s5 stuff on it.

My idle problem is without a doubt a vacuum leak. The engine is drawing in unmetered air in from somewhere, and as a result is running lean as hell, and wont even idle to begin with. The plugs foul after about a few minutes.

The engine basically will not draw enough air though the AFM at idle to open it at all.

I'm pretty sure its from my mismatched intake manifolds though, I have an s4 lower one with s5 upper. I put the s4 lower one on to pass emissions, (no port air = no passing emissions) In doing this combo one stud does not line up and has to be removed. I tried sealing the area but I strongly suspenct that it is drawing in air from there still. I got an emissions waiver, so now I can slap on a s5 lower manifold.

I'm just trying to rule out places where unmetered air could be comming from because of my frankenstein engine setup. Now I can rule the fuel injectors out.

Thanks for your help guys!
