There's a switch on the center console. You'll probably find the plug under there connected to nothing. Either get a stock switch from a wrecker or Mazda, or just use a generic switch.

Center hand rest console where power mirrors and the security like would be if equipped.

Oops, you found it!

I believe Hailers has a scan of the fog light wiring diagram. Hopefully he can post it for you so you can follow the circuit to see it the power's getting through.

The headlights have to be on for the foglights to come on. You alluded to it in your first post, but I'm not sure whether you did that now or not.

while this thread's already here... is the foglight switch supposed to be illuminated? mine's not (1990 GXL), and it seems like it's a switch that should be backlit, in a perfect world.

You're missing the relay. You need to find a junkyard 7 that came with foglights stock(or the vert you got the lamps from) and grab the relay from that one. It's located in the nose of the car, forward of the airduct and radiator overflow resevoir. Once you plug that in, they'll light up no problem.

Steve

P.S. Don't forget to grab a 15amp fuse for the fusebox under the driver's side of the dash. It's the bottom row, 3rd from the left("I think").

Double check your fuses since you heard a 'click' when you turned them on the first time. Also many(most?) cars (pretty sure the FC too) turn off the fog lights when the high beams are in use. They are low beam aids only.
