s5 driveshafts

I am planning to purchase an s5 convertible with a snapped driveshaft and I am wondering if there is a difference between an s5 convertible driveshaft and a s5 coupe? I have already sourced an s5 driveshaft I just need to know if they are the same or not. Also, if anybody has one for cheap please let me know. Thanks

Same driveshaft. S4 and S5 same too. If you want though, you could do even better than replacing it, you could go to rotorwiki.com and see the writeup on replacing the u-joints. Once you grind the old ones out, the driveshaft becomes serviceable.

Good luck w/ your new vert.

Seems like the page is down. There's a how-to and listing for the u-joints here. http://rockforddriveline.com/replacem.htm

Search the part number in google or ebay.

They are the same if from the same application e.g. N/A 5 speed as A/T is different as is the Turbo driveshaft.
