s5 door speakers not working

s5 door speakers not working

in need of some electrical advice:

just picked up a new s5 and i was going along and installed a new pioneer double din and speakers all around. thing is the dash and tower speakers work fine. but the door speakers dont work. i know i wired everything correctly. is there something im missing?

Did you hook up the amp turn on wire?

you know what, i dont think i did. i believe it was a blue/white wire (not remote one). but i remember my wire harness didnt have anything to match it with. what was i suppose to wire it with?

I never trusted the old wiring so I wire up from the deck to the speaker with a new run of wire to each speaker.
are you running separate amps?.or going off the back of the deck?
Oh,BTW,if you wired it correctly you wouldn't be posting..heh,heh!..You'd be rockin out to tunes!

lol found it, stock door amp sucks. bypassed it.

Figured.

The FC came with so many different audio options, it can make some audio threads hard to diagnose.

I work in 12v and the FC is the only car I've ever seen with so many different OEM audio configurations for the same body style. Only thing that comes close is BMW with the "HIFI" ****.

The headrest amps in the verts are pretty cool, but they tend to only work when they want to (cold solder joints FTW!).
