S5 chassis harness
Trying to find out if I can snag a S5 chassis/body harness for my T2 swap. I've got the S5t2 engine harness and ecu. I wanna know if I can do this instead of having to change the front cover, etc. I looked at allot of swaps on here and I haven't seen any done this way so I'm asking. Also are there different kinds of chassis harnesses (T2/NA) like there are for the engine?

I think the first question people will ask is what are you trying to do? S4->S5TII S5N/A->S5TII? If its s5 to s5TII, you don't need a new harness or change front cover or anything else, just use your N/A harness and extended the needed wires.... Don't quote me on this but it might be the same for s4n/a to S4 TII

Sorry. I have an 87 NA and S5T2 motor with harness and ecu. my goal is to not have to change anything on the motor and instead just swap the body harness.

You can use the S5 TII harness, but from what others have told me on here, it becomes a nightmare since there are many differences. It should be doable, but maybe not the simplest way to do it. If you search on this forum, you will find tons of information on this type of swap or go here:

Good luck with the swap!

It can be done like that, but you'll be wanting to pick up an S5 TII front harness, rear harness, engine harness, emissions harness, cluster harness & possibly door harnesses. Anything short of this will mean re-wiring. Get very familiar with the wiring diagrams: http://foxed.ca/foxed/index.php?page=rx7manual
