Is there any real bad part to it? I mean I was thinking about it and I didn't know what was wrong with the stocker. Reason being is that I don't want that annoying noise of open vent BOV's when I get my car on the road.

Is it just a crappy design or what??

There's nothing wrong with them, they're just like the BOV's installed in most factory turbo cars. But they were only designed to work under stock conditions, so eventually they may need upgrading.

The only reasons why factory BOV's need to be upgraded is when you run higher boost and they leak, or you run higher boost and the BOV can't flow enough to stop compressor surge. In that case you can by a higher-flowing, aftermarket recirculating BOV to avoid the noise and minor losses in turbo response from an open-vented one.

The only reason most people replace them is for the noise. That's all.

Hmm I think one of my friends said that TIAL and Greddy BOV's can be recirculated into the intake. I can't find this feature listed so I guess I will have to make a phone call

Santiago

PS- Thanks for the input.

turbo xs makes the type H so that it can be redirrected into the intake just like stock. I have that type of BOV only open atmosphere, and It works like a charm and the sound is loud but not anoying like most!

From what I have heard the stock BOV on these cars can handle quite alot of pressure. I am still running the stock BOV and run around 10-12psi and its perfectly fine. I have mine open vented and it sounds not that bad actually, I am gonna get a turboXS TypeH though just cause I love loud BOV's, but thats the only reason.

well it isn't really about annoyance really but much more the fact that I don't like to hear that sound at all. It will attract attention that I don't want. Stealth is my major goal.

I found it its at their website. They are meant for 10-25psi which I will be at and it is supposed to be re-routed into the intake. :-D
