S5 auto rear end Q
i have a 1991 N/A auto....converted to 5 speed using a T2 tranny, clutch and lightweight flywheel connected via custom driveshaft using the retained auto rearend (3.90)
i plan on doing a s/p rebuild in the future and coupled with a nitrous system of about 120hp at the most.
will my auto rearend hold up or should i go get a t2 rear end? and how much RWHP will an N/A rear handle anyway?

i dont know what the hightest is, but i know over on torquecentral, the v8 rx7 guys say about 350hp as a general rule of thumb...and thats with v8 torque too.
i must add however, taht for the cost of the custom driveshaft, im sure you could have picked up a TII rear and axles.

I did the exact same swap with the exact same parts, Except I drilled new holes in the flange for a TII shaft. I'm going with a 4.30 ring in pinion or a GTUs rear end. It will make tons of difference over that 3.90.
