Are S5 afm's interchangeable?

Are S5 afm's interchangeable?

hi, my 91 vert automatic had a afm failure today and i put one on from another s5 but it had a manual tranny, are they interchangeable? the reason i ask is the car is not running as smooth as it was with the stock afm and i thought i remebered reading they were different. i'm going to clean the connectors off tonight and reinstall the stock one but im thinking its done for.

this is strange, the car runs with the afm i used but badly, maybe i have two bad afms, i get an error code at low rpms but when i get on the gas the light goes out and the car runs fine, it's got bad low end power, even worse than stock. i checked the parts numbers and they are different, i know the vert and coupes had different ecu's but this sucks.
