S4 vs S5 T2 Transmission

How can you visually identify an S4 T2 tranny vs an S5 T2 transmission? I swear to God I have searched several times this week and can find a thread with pictures or an explanation. =(

Thank you for your help!

the number of bolts that hold the bellhousing on is different. i dont remember how many each one has but you can find out by looking in the FSM.

The easiest way is to look at the crossmember mounting location. An S4 will have 2 bolts that attach the crossmember to the bottom of the tail housing, while an S5 will have 4 bolts that attach higher up on the bottom/sides of housing.

My S5 TII transmission also has a lot more "ribs" on the case, than my S4 TII trans.

Oops....my bad. I was talking to someone who wanted to buy a Tranny before I made this thread....haha. Wow...I win the idiot award today.

Ok...let's try this again...I want to know how to tell the difference between an S4 and S5 Turbo LSD/Diff. Pictures are now relevant. Wow...this is embarrassing. Hahah!
