S4 vs S5 (Body Styles)

I never really understood why so many people prefered the S5 body style over all the others. I think the S4 looks pretty clean. Any other opinions? This is based on the interior and exterior look of the car not the engine differences.

I honestly think both look good, I don't see why people get wet over an s5 then brush off an s4 like it's an ugly piece of **** it's ridiculous.

The interior in the S4 is brittle and breaks, so I like the S5 interior better.

I like the s4 exterior just fine.

I think that the S4 looks like an old car, while the S5 looks more modern. Since I prefer older cars, I actually prefer the S4 exterior. I guess I can't really vote based on the choices, I'm pretty even on this one.

The body-painted side strips on the S5 look so much better to me.

The S4 is a was a brand new body style. True the S5 interior pieces are a little more sturdy and the exterior has a little more aggression, but the S4 has an original feel to it. I also really like the flat MAZDA spoiler and the mini side skirt trim.

+1. S4 are super clean when doen up right, and don't need lips, or "JDM" circle tail lights to distract like S5s do. The trim is what set the S4s in their period and let people know, "Yeah, you just got walked by a twenty year old car."

I like them both I have an S4 and S5. The only really weak interior piece on the s4 is the center console one. and I replace it with an s5 rubber one goes right in.

I like the S4 all it really needs is the S5 tails and your good to go. And I love that little duck bill wing they had from the factory.

well technically the s5 circle lights would fit right at home in S4's since they are meant to recreate the early mazda rotary cars. everything else i agree with you 100%. S4 look very good and clean when done right and S5 are also very sexy.

take it from me i just sold my S5 which i will miss, but i'll be picking up an S4 turbo II on sunday

The trim and the color matched body around the tail lights are what make me a fan of the s5, and I own an s4.

If the S4 is done up right, it can look way better then the S5. I like the S5 because of the newer engine parts... I would like to have an S5 all together though, the engine in it is just great.

I actually think the black trim looks good on most s4 colors. I think a s4 looks amazing with the sport package front lip and little side skirt things. I also don't mind the s4 tails.

...but a s4 front bumper with no lip looks like complete *** compared to a s5 front bumper. It's not bad if you've never seen an s5 front end, but really no comparison in my book.

S5 easily for all around. My s4 Turbo II has the mouldings paint matched, s5 wheels, s5 console surround, and s5 tails. I perfer the s4 gauges and seats, though. In the future I plan on giving the car s5 mouldings and front bumper.

What I really like is how the tails look. I think lowered with fat tires and a roaring exhaust the tails on the s4's look amazing. How would these tails look on an S5? I also like the trim on the s4's. Mm such a hard decision.

The S5's are more refined looking, less "rubber" and smoother lines.. Clear turn signals form the Factory and body matched sleek trim finish the look. The spoiler on the T2's are also a better design IMO.... The front and rear bumpers are a sleek design and the openings in the front seem useful as well as looking more aggressive...

Clean S4 looks like a bastard child between a Probe and a 94 Mustang. It doesn't catch your eye as much in the fashion of a sports car when it drives by.
