S4 vrs S5 irons

S4 vrs S5 irons

This may sound pretty remidial, but how can you tell S4 irons apart from S5 irons? thanks folks!

the S4 and S5 looks the same.

The 6 ports are the same.

You can distingish the 4 ports from the turbo and the 4 ports early n/a because the water passages are different at the exhaust area.

The 3rd gen irons looks different that the S4 and the S5 4 ports because the intake port is inclined downwards.

I heard the s4 intake ports are a bit larger than the s5, also the later year rear s5 iron is reinforced at the oil filter pedastal. Also the intermediary s4 iron has a EGR valve spot wheras the S5 EGR is on the LIM.

Rear dowel land is thicker. INT has 10deg advance change and front has thicker cover oring land.
