S4 TURBO II-Rebuild help -seek and destroy + dont let the wife know...
ok first off i would like to say that this thread isnt a wanted thread but as a tool for me to find the cheapest rebuild set out there...now i want to buy my gaskets and seals seperate, so my detective wont catch a big chunk missing in the account...i can just blame it on something simple, "ahh insurance took their money late"
i know some of you have done this ...i have a S4 TURBO II- i am going to do a nice streetport i dont want to go 3mm seals, ah and i want to change all the gaskets
Who has the cheapest gaskets , o ring sets , apex kit....
any advice will be greatly appreciated, if you have something negative to say dont even bother getting a post count

Just dont use the coolant seals from rotaryaviation.com , I think I remember this guy on here felixwankel88 used them and ended up having issues with getting them to fit .
He ended up pinching one when putting the engine together, causing need for another rebuild due to losing coolant through where the coolant seal was pinched. He found out it was pinched after having to take the engine apart all over again.
I have no idea if they improved their design since then, but I myself would go with mazda coolant seals.

i believe they fixed their issues with SAE size o-rings. i ordered a dozen coolant seals from McMaster Carr(same seals RA uses i believe) and they fit just right now, originally i had to stretch the seals about 1.5 years ago when i originally tried using their seals.
if you're careful they are fine to use, even to reuse.
