S4 Turbo electrical problem!!!!!

I cannot get my car working. It keeps blowing my EGI COMP fuse. The wire coming off that fuse is white with a blue stripe, and it keeps burning up. I have disconnected all solenoids on the motor and the coil packs to see if that was the problem, but it didnt fix it.. I also disconnected the ecu to see if maybe there was a short on that end but it still blew it. I have no clue what to do. I think it is grounding out somewhere. But I have no clue where it could be. Can the main relays go bad and cause thiS? could my fuse box under the hood be bad? Im lost

and very frustrated.

Pull the plugs off the Main Relay and put a new fuse in. See if it still pops the fuse. I'm guessing the short is b/t the main relay and the engine fuse box.

plugs

I pulled the plugs off the main rela, and it no longer pops, but off course it wont start like this. What now? Please help me.

Find your ACV. Find the wires to the two solneoids. Follow the wires til you find the two plugs for them. Disconnect them. Does the fuse still blow?

it helps to know what year/type car you have.

Did the fuse blow with the key to just ON? Or did you have to go to START to get the fuse to blow.

Try going just to ON for fifteen minutes or so and see if it blows.

Does it only blow if you put the car in gear? Reverse?

acv

it was my acv, the two wires were crossed. I disconnected it and all better. But now It runs like crap because I have the acv disconnected. Does the acv being disconnected cause it to run bad?

The car shouldn't have acted up because these two solenoids were disconnected. One is the Port Air Solenoid and the ECU disables this one after 20,000 miles and the other is the Split Air Solenoid that only works in fifth gear. Neither feeds air to the engine intake. Only to the exaust. So I can't explain why the engine runs different. It should not have anything to do with those solenoids. Like I said, neither has anything to do with engine air intake, only exaust and rarely even then.
