S4 TII gas gauge pegged on Full...?
Hey guys,
The other night I was out w/ some friends driving up and down the mountain and going through the last set of switchbacks and was moving pretty good. I had about half a tank. When I got to the bottom the fuel gauge was pegged out on Full.
It has since been stuck there. I have read around and am going to get to the fuel pump and pull it out to see if the float is stuck. If I'm not mistaken, isn't the float near or connected to the fuel pump?
I am going to de-pressurize the system and pull it out to see and have a look. But I also read about the fuel sending relay or something could have something to do with it...?
Anyone else have some ideas to throw out there while I go climb into it? Please respond and thanks for looking.

the fuel level sender in a long rod attached the fuel pump mounting bracket. It probably got hung up on the baffles in the tank. lift the rear carpet and then remove the screws holding the fuel pump in the tank and you'll find out if it is stuck real fast. If it's not stuck you need to replace it. just a couple bolts. if still doesn't work the gauge in the car might be jacked.

sure enough, the float and arm were hung up on one of the baffles I'm assuming and it took a bit of tugging to free it. Put the pump back in and made sure the arm was free and started it up and it works just fine now. haha.
Problem solved, drank 4 beers and washed the car. lol.
