S4 Streetport fuel needs
So I might be acquiring a 86 FC with an Atkins streetport. It may be a great deal, but it has fuel needs. It is running on the stock 460s, not exactly enough for the car; stock pump, computer and S4 Fuel Injection system.
What I am asking is what would be the best route for upgrading the fuel?
1. Get larger injectors, pump, reprogramed computer and a SAFC. In that case what size injectors would I need?
2. Get rid of the Fuel Injection and get a Weber setup, with a pump.
Also what gph of pump would I need?
Thanks for the input,
J

you could get away with a pump and an safc, a reprogrammed ECU is essentially a mapped richer but is not tuned, you can tune an SAFC so i would say go that route or go standalone if you got the money. you can't run out of room to work with stock injectors on an n/a so don't bother upgrading the injectors just the pump.

What other mods besides the streetport? I wasn't aware that atkins did any porting large enough to need more fuel than stock. An s-afc would help fine tune things, but I doubt you need any larger injectors, *maybe* a TII fuel pump or something, but with just a streetport and mild mods I don't see you needing more fuel.
How do you know it needs more fuel?

At the very most you might need a TII pump, but even that's doubtful. The best fuel mod you could put on would be a fuel controller, so you can tailor the mixtures to the engine's mods. Most likely you will be removing fuel, not adding it.
